Merry Christmas to all our families! 

We have had a fantastic first term together at Ankermoor and I have been proud to call myself your headteacher. Our community is a strong one filled with so much care and joy. I am sad but also excited to be starting my maternity leave in the New Year. Thank you to all of you who have wished me well. I will keep you updated when the baby arrives.

I hope that you all take time to enjoy your families and rest and relax at this time of year - in whichever way you see fit. Whether that be by spending time with extended family or taking the time to cherish your own. I know that all of our children at Ankermoor have worked incredibly hard this term and have adapted really well to the change in Headship and teachers.

I'm very excited to hear what the New Year is going to bring for us all at Ankermoor. I know that we will continue to go from strength to strength.

Special Adult lunches ARE BACK!

We are pleased to announce that our parent lunches are back - these need to be booked a week in advance to allow us to cater for all of you.

Friday 7th October - Year 5&6 lunch (with a special guest PCSO Ross and PCSO Amber

What a fabulous turn out! It was lovely to see so many children engaging with our visitors and having a wonderful lunch. Miss Holgate and Mrs Bryan really enjoyed meeting some of the parents and talking about future events in the school. The delicious fish and chips helped too! 

Friday 14th October - Year 1&2 lunch (Followed by a Wellbeing workshop)

Friday 21st October - Year 3&4 lunch (PCSO Ross will be running an online safety talk for parents after lunch)

Friday 4th November - Reception lunch 

Friday 11th November - Year 5&6 lunch

Friday 18th November - Year 1&2 Lunch

Friday 25th November - Year 3&4 lunch

Friday 2nd December - Reception Lunch

Tuesday 6th December* - Year 3,4,5,6 Christmas lunch - followed by an afternoon of Christmas crafting 

Wednesday 7th December* - Reception, Year 1 and 2 Christmas lunch - followed by an afternoon fo Christmas crafting

*Christmas lunches need to be booked by Friday 4th November
